Post your home audio setups. Here is mine.

Never mind, you've only been here since October, so it's understandable. Don't mind anyone in here knockin ya, you should be more surprised when that doesn't happen //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

actually i am a little surprised.

when i finally set up my game room/ (theater) room i will be upgrading everything but this is just for music in my room.

any suggestions for a system around 500 plus or minus a bit. not doing any diy. basically just a receiver. sub, front left/right and rear left/right. dont really like center channels. they seem to add to much vocal to me. i like depp bass and tinny highs.

I'd try a 3rd or 4th order at your crossover frequency (the lower frequency the higher the order it would need to be) tuned to 7.379774436 ohms which is the AVERAGE of all the Impedances.

Woot for excel. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

That would be my guess. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/imdaman.gif.bc6c552e19aa4ad8c47461144f40eb1a.gif

Yes I figured the 4th order at 2k should work.

bose is pretty shitty.
my dad bought a system a few years ago.

it is good for watching movies in a small room.

imo kind of like audiobahn you pay to much for a not so great product.

explain to me how fisher wasnt a good brand. there speakers where amazing and there receivers were ehh.
I have never heard anyone but you claim that fisher anything is "amazing". I have never heard anyone speaking of them being innovative or original. When SQ brands of yesteryear are talked about, I never see fisher brought up. My dad had a pair of fisher cabinets in late 80s that were nothing more than block party 3 ways that didn't stand out in my eye. They were just like any other large 3 way with 6db filters on the drivers.

Block Party 3-Way is probably the best way I have heard that class of speaker described.

It would.

My favorite saying is "Everyone's a soundman". //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

But, as long as they sound good to you. That is what is important.
