That's because the country as a majority if fucking retarded. Look at you (not calling you retarded, yet). You selected your own benefits and I bet you don't even understand how to read a SPD. 98% of the people walking around today are the same way. It is sad really.
I didn't. But I feel the same way about people who cannot read a prospectus, calculate correlation coeffecients, the tax code, or properly plan for retirement.

I am glad I have monkey that can read a SPD.

I have no exact numbers but i am fairly confident in saying >90% of the population could not plausibly travel on foot to a job necessary for them to provide for themselves and family. Humans being who they are are more brutal and self-concerning than any other species on the planet. Its absolutely astonishing how much the common man just "doesn't give a ****"
If there were no cars, trucks, etc....we'd all live in the city where the work is. I am not understanding your point very clearly.

It's astonishing because the average American person wouldn't save another random stranger's life if it meant taking 5 minutes out of their schedule.
How many animals would do the same? Curious how many antelope could try to rescue their fallen comrade from the claws of the cheetah. Not very fucking many.

didn't read thread but I dare someone to come to rural north carolina and work at cvs for a day and still say they are for socialized healthcare:laugh:

you wouldn't believe the fat pieces of shit that come in and buy like 8 12 packs of pepsi and a basket full of lays chips and gummi worms. A lot of the time it's paid for by food stamps too.

That is because it is a lot cheaper to eat crap than it is to eat healthy.

This is true.

Big thing is, the pharmaceutical industry is a big part of the problem. Fix patent issues, and fix the pushing that the sales reps do on the doctors.

Also, the part about malpractice, that was right on.

I'm not going to lie, I did vote for Obama, but I am not for a socalized health care program. I'm also not for a system that only rewards the rich and powerful. The current system is broken, regardless of what income level you are at. It needs fixed for all of us, period.

I am perfectly fine with my insurance. It's about $80/mo for one person and I have to jump through a lot of hoops...but as long as I play the game I get pretty good care. It's called a consumer driven plan. I get an allotment of $1,200 a year to cover medical expenses. So I cover $1,201 - $4,999 and the health plan covers the rest.

Where is that plan for me? IF, and this is IF, I decided to buy into the insurance at work, I would pay 130 a month for shit coverage. I would get med/dental/vision/etc, but I would also have a huge copayment for doctors visits (like 50 per appointment, and I only make 250 per week), and even worse is I have to cover 5k worth of costs before their benefits take effect. I've made just slightly over 8k this year before taxes, so do the math.

Not everyone has a good job, nor a great education. If I could actually have a job where I could afford to be sick, or get hurt, and be covered no matter what, then I'd be all for the current system. But, because of the costs of healthcare, if I get hurt and go to the emergency room, I get Tylenol 3, an ace bandage, and a boot back out the door along with a 500 dollar bill for services rendered, which I could have rendered to myself without any kind of medical training.

Can you why some people are pissed at the current system?

No. You have a shitty job and want mercy because you wont improve your life/job. Its your fault not our medical system.

We have the best medicine/doctors/hospitals in the world. Know why?

Capitalism. Hate it or love it it brings us the best things in the world. Because people have to work hard to earn money.

That is right...you cannot afford to be sick.

How come not everyone has a good education? The peope I know who didn't go to school where out having fun, partying, going on dates, vacations, etc. while I was at home studying. They were out fvcking hella girls, I was at home studying. I feel since I made sacrifices from day one to get where I am that I shouldn't have to pay for someone else's lack of planning.

Sure some kids get all the breaks and did all the wild and crazy things and still found good jobs, and others studied hard but couldn't catch a break. I think those are outliers in the grand scheme of things.

Do you think if emergency room visits are free would there be more or less waiting? My local hospital has about a 7 hour wait at all times...closer to 12-15 in the winter (because the homeless get sick and try to stay out of the cold). Do you think that's a better plan?

How old are you btw?
