who cares of the box doesn't look great. anyone can slap together some carpet and make it look good.

i don't carpet my box. why? i want people to make fun of it so they would say "eeww..i dont' want that..looks shitty" and guess what, they won't want it. That's good for me. Put a pyramid sub in a fiberglass show-quality install blah blah blah and what happens next? system gets stolen because it looks "awesome".

i buy my equipment to listen to, not to show off and get it stolen. Nothing wrong with carpetting, but it is not a necessity.

I love this. When I started coming to the forum I asked questions and was open to advice. That is why you join the forum. I consider myself fairly knowledgeable about car audio but I would never be an a$$ when you join a forum.

Hertzy, you have destroyed all of your credibility and everything you say will be ignored. look at my install is has carpet and looks good in the back of my car. If you want looks and no go get to a rice website. People here care about the performance of their car audio.

I saw a car on some rice show that had tons of fiberglass, custom plexi and lots of money put into the install. The system looked awesome but it sucked. It was full of blaupunkt subs and amps which aren't bad for a low-middle of the line stereo. If I was putting tons of money into my install the first thing I would do was to buy the nicest equipment I could find.

You will find a lot of people with very nice looking installs on this site, but who cares if it looks good, if it doesn't perform then why install it.

Hey Hertzy42... is that a finished enough box for you? Honestly, you can go fu(k a duck because you clearly don't know what it is all about. That box was bare MDF for a good long while before everything was smoothed out and painted and such... your attitude of "I will get my dick sucked if I carpet my box!" just doesn't cut it. Learn to build some of your own stuff and impress us with your incredible sounding boxes and great costmetics and I will give you credit where credit is due, but untill then, shut up and keep your @sshole unprofessional opinions to your self.
