Post A Picture Of Your Subs

oh my god you guys cant be serious? you're riding around in your car, and it sounds great! your date says, "hey can I see what it looks like?" You open your trunk to reveal six pieces of wood you screwed together last weekend. good job. any idiot can screw wood together, it takes skill to make it look nice.

Bare MDF shows the hard work that went into the construction of the enclosure. Some people don't want to cover their box. Who cares if it's not covered, it's the perfomance that counts. Looks are a bonus.

Let's see your PROFESSIONAL INSTALL! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

what hard work. you sat down with a pencil and paper, decided what the dimensions were, went to home depot, bought some board, cut it to the sizes you wrote down an hour ago and then screwed it together. WOOHOO. all that hard work.

and i seriously doubt making it look at least quasi-decent projects a feel of "less work put in"

you cant honestly think that bare wood looks decent in a carpeted or painted steel trunk? oh what am I arguing this point for. forget it.

i don't think chicks care what your install looks like when your bass can make them have a orgasm. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wacky.gif.cf4a48f9e6dfe9504ffd2c946fd2f340.gif

You forgot glue, sealent, maybe some resin there bud. For a lot of people, this is their first install that they have done. It was hard work for them and you decide to put them down. WOW! Your a real *******!

Do us a favor and don't post any more in this thread. Your going to turn a good thread into a flame thread, then it will get deleted. DON'T BE AN ***!

Welcome to the forum....I have never once, Ever, had a girl ask to look at my setup, ever. If you think thats all there is to it, screwing 6 pieces of "board" together....... your the World Record holder correct?????. I mean, only a person who has mastered something can say its easy. Lets see your accomplishments and the great craftsmanship you have performed.

I personally could give 2 shits if I had 2 batteries, 2 amps, and a box made of wafer board sliding around my trunk, as long as everytime I put the key in it worked and made me happy.

BTW:Carpet affects SPL, and just about everyone of my boxes has had smeared blood due to some screw, sharp piece of fiberglass, ect, it only shows the time and hardwork why cover it up??? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crying.gif.ec0ebefe590df0251476573bc49e46d8.gif

see, all it takes is one hour and two spray cans of enamel paint. *sigh*

hey, and if you like blood on your box, by all means. of course what I said is an oversimplification of the process, but after "all that time" I can't see myself just giving up and throwing the unfinished box in my trunk and calling it a day. by the way, considering you as an audiophile, you probably bought really nice, expensive subs. I don't think one layer of carpet is going to have a noticable negative effect on the amount and/or quality of sound your speakers are pumping out.

who cares what this guy thinks. He still has yet to show his craftsmenship.

As for my bare wood box goes. I built it myself and am **** proud of it. I have been throwing ideas around for a couple weeks as to how I want to build an amp rack or do something for my amps to hide the wires, doesn't have to be in a rack. Today I started on somewhat of a rack, but am stumped as to what I want to do with it now. I built a wall type deal that goes behind my back seat so that when you fold the seat down there is the amps, but I don't want to seal off my trunk. That way the bass can still get inside the car with the seats down. So now it is back to the drawing board.

btw- great job everyone on your installs, no matter how fancy they are. not everyone has all the money it takes to get it looking top notch.
