I have a 2 channel amp, but I was wondering if there was any way i could make it a 4 channel amp without drastically reducing the power output. Could i wire two pos. wires to one pos. terminal and same wit neg? thanks

Sure as long as your amp can handle the load. Two 4 ohm speakers wired in parallel to each channel is fine for most amps. Many amps will put out twice as much power at 2 ohms than at 4. Although you might notice a little more distortion.

Thanks dosia. But if my amp doesnt say its 2 ohm stable, is it safe to say it will be ok?

Yes. You could call manufacture to confirm. I don't know of any amps that arn't stable at 2 ohms per channel.

It won't be 4 channels but you can hook up 4 speakers to it. 2 on each channel. Are you trying to bi-amp your mids and tweets?

i have an mtx 125x2 amp that i used 4 2 subs, and now i got a new car. and i wana run an amp to the stock6 speakers, 4 coax, 2 tweets, but the tweets r hooked up to the front coax, and i was wondering if i could just use the mtx ampand power the factory mids and highs?

sweet. i was gonna buy a jbl 80.4 amp 4 my mids and highs, but i think ill use the mtx if i cant sell it.

get a 4 channel amp at least 75 X4@ 4 ohms pick a good brand, look for a sale.

most amps put out more power at 2ohms. I have my set up with to alpine amps (mrv-t407- i have them each pushing two pairs. it sound nice and does not cut out.
