It says 550 amps //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif but ive heard they can draw even more //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif...lol, and with the subs up in the cabin it clears up alot of room for batteries...and im going to have to look into beefing up the suspension..lol

But i'd probably have 6 D3100's in the trunk, upgrade my AC-position alt to a 300 or so...possibly 16V setup (in which case I'd probably have 6 D1000 16V's), we'll see though...but my '205 amp' alt from mechman was dyno'd today and it put out 243 amps //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif...so im packin a little more than i thought, hehehe

lucky bastard..lol im not letting go my AC for NO1! lol

I never use it anyways...so ive lost nothing and gained a big part of my setup and made some possibilities happen and gotta love the look on a mechanics face thats done work on saturns forever day-in and day-out...when he pops the hood and his eyes widen //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif.."wheres the AC?"..lol

i built a test box for my 12's with an interchangeable port and its cool no leaks so far..but i need two ppl to help me lift my box to remove the port..

also im thinking i may just do

3 hdc3 12's on 7kw's instead of 4 10's on 6kw....

why would you make the rear deck out of 3/4 wood? there's prolly 55% left of mine//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif
Why not? I had a guy that knew what he was doing and seen him do it to other cars. Was the best way to get the bass in my car and doing good numbers being it was a trunk car. Entire rear deck was my port. I wouldn't have put up the numbers I did if I did subs up, port back and I could have taken my back seat out, which I did......kinda anyway, but was my amps recessed in there. Was the best way for the numbers. I suggest it, but my car was an 85 cutlass.

i was thinking if you make the rear deck out of wood it would trap the sound in the trunk..i cut 2 very large holes in mine to allow the most ait travel in the cabin...

Yes, my port trapped the sound in the trunk, lol!

Read again dude. My rear deck was the PORT! Tis where the bass went through. So it didn't get trapped, matter of fact is was the best way for the car to get loud numbers out of.

i tried that my box was tuned to about 44hz or so..i had some wood lying around and deicded to see if that was really loud..the only thing that was loud was burps i did in the 49-54hz range..it really didnt plasy music too loud but had a loud as burp..also it wasnt complete sealed off either..i dont know how the hell i would be able to get a tuning of 35-40hz because the port has the be so long(unless i remove my rear windshield)

But what i had notice is cutting out the majority of the rear deck and making the box as low as possible works really well..im think next season im going to do the box 10" tall and pretty much take up the entire trunk floor..i just need to know where to mount these amps:crying: then with an interchangeable i should be only my way to 150dbs fo sho...

Big difference in a Neon with half the cabin space and the much shorter distance from trunk to window and a long Maxima with four long doors and a huge cabin. I have seen a neon do a 50, just never a Maxima.
I hope JEXTEL is the first one though. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
i am in the same boat as jextel(we have the same car)

i have 2 cvr 12's in a 97 max with a sunroof and i am pulling 143.2 a the headrest @ 37hz with stock elec and 1k rms. the box is very very loud though.

i tried making an aero port box and it blew balls. sub back, port back slot tune box tuned to 34hz with a TON of port area and 4.2 cubes. the box is 36w x 14H x 25d with a double baffle(which i believe helps ALOT)

i am going to be doubling my power with some type r 12's and i hope i can pull off a 146 @ the head with the same box

maximas do **** for bass. anything less than 2 12's and 1k isnt loud at all in them:(

Not really a "trunk" set up with the box in the back seat //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
