Brand new sub

Ok i just got my brand new fi q 15 inch. Im running it off a kicker zx1000. I wired it up and if i hardly put the gain up my amplifier just shuts off? Is this cuz the sub is in its break in period? It is free air right now?

no, it's because you messed up the wiring somehow. What's the volume on the HU when you set the gain?

ok i had them wired wrong. I just fixed it. Do you think I damaged my sub?

if the amp went into protect then i doubt you had a chance to mess up the sub.
