poly-fill in your sub's port?

i think the best thing to do is get some chicken wire and just blocked the port with it, use a staple gun to staple the mesh or glue i guess would work. but i would bother using polyfill in a ported box its a pain in the ***

no the box isnt proted, im talking about the port in the sub(the big hole in the back)i got it though, im just using a layer of the poly-fil that is measured by the yard as a blocker for the loose poly-fil. thank you though

That hole in the back of the sub is the pole vent. It makes no acoustikal difference being open. It's necessary that you keep that open and clear at all times. If not, the power handling of the sub goes down by at least half, probably more.

I know that im saying i was trying to keep the loose poly-fil from going in that hole so what i did was use a cleaner more compact version of poly-fil that comes in a roll and made a crater in the loose poly-fil with it. i can post pics later if you want.
