Polk Audio db1240 or Infinity Reference 1260W or...

Greetings,

I'm looking to add a subwoofer to my setup. Requirements are cheap (preferably under $80), decent sound quality/thump quality, and 12". It will be powered by a Cadence CSA1000.4 and contained in a sealed box sized to the woofer. Cleaner sound is preferable to volume.

Here's what I've come down to:

Polk Audio db1240

Infinity Reference 1260W

So which one would you get or would you get something else?

Thanks for any suggestions!

I really love my Infinity 1262W. I chose it over Polk because it's rated down to 23Hz. Online Car Stereo has great prices on the Infinity.

I'm a big Polk fan. My Home system is all Polk. Plenty of people are happy with both Polk and infinity so hard to go wrong with either on a budget.

Just be careful with your gain running that much power. I'm running 400 into 2 ohms with the dual voice coil model and it's about right. Very good SQ with enough boom to make me happy.
