The question is, why is Pioneer the only company having that issue on this forum? Is the pico just that easy to blow? Do other HU's not have a little pico fuse and therefore there's no way to have the same issue? I'm honestly curious...I guess what I was referring to is that the only people I've heard of having problems with this are guys on this forum. I know 2 Pioneer installers 1 in MI and 1 in IN and they have never had a head unit come back that they or their customers have installed. I can't believe there are that many on here that can't install a head unit. I know there are guys on here that know what they're doing but you can't ignore there are also a lot of NOVICES on here that shouldn't be self-installing anything.
I'll be the first to admit that I haven't done a ton of HU installs, as I have only changed HU's maybe 2-3 times in 6 years and find no reason to change any time soon as I am very happy with my 8053...but I never had an issue with the Eclipse units that I did myself.
