Pioneer headunit does not save SETTINGS

hi everyone,

i just finished installing a Pioneer DEH 7600MP headunit. It powered up find and worked just fine until i noticed that the headunit does not save my settings (saved radio stations, the time, EQ preferences, etc)

what can i check for first?

the memory wire.

make sure the constant +12v wire is connected to a constant source of power (aka direct line to the battery)

You probably got the yellow and red wires backwards.
