Alright, I decided to go with the Explorer...

I found a 2002 Explorer Limited. I drove it a bit today, and it's a great ride.

I'll need to figure out how to take the back seats out, but if it doesn't work out it's flat when they are just folded.

I wasn't able to purchase it today because I want to have it looked over by a mechanic that we TRUST, and the bank closed 15min ago, better safe than sorry though!

Heres the link to it, it should work....

you sure you want a suv with the way gas prices are going lately?

It is a V6, so it's not terrible.. But yeah, I WANT this car, and the 17mpg isn't going to stop from buying something I want.

Plus it gives me more leeway on bargaining //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif because no on else wants one

lol..I hear ya,,,suv sales **** right now. I just got rid of my grand cherokee and trade-in values are so fricken low its not even funny

does look pretty **** clean considering the high mileage though

Yeah it's great, engine is very clean as well. 105k is quite a few miles though...

Also on the back door, the plastic panel has a large crack in it, same with the left rear light, I'm thinking an employee backed into something moving it around.

I want to start offering 5500$, and go up to 6000$, otherwise I'm going to drive 50 miles and get a better deal.

105 ... please i bought my carolla 60,000 miles ago and when i bought it it had 195,000 already on it. so far i spent $90 for the good bosch spark plugs and $80 for a new exhaust manifold.( i was awar it needed to be replace at the time of purchase.) and like my father has always told me. if the car is ever going to break severly. it will do so in the first 200,000 miles. and so far he has been correct.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif:)//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif:)

toyotas run forever though...we are talking about a ford..lol

i am too, i still consider that high mileage for that price.

Thats why I'm offering less.

There is one about 50miles away from here with 85k miles for 1000$ less, but this trim level is nicer and the dealership is 1mile away from home.

Wu501- yes lol it's a Ford... But that means cheap parts, and lower insurance rates //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif They would probably be even lower with a toyota though //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

105k isnt really much

most new cars will last about 300k

I had a 96 chevy full size with 275k with the orignal ***** and engine

no expensive repairs

just usualy stuff : starter,alt,tires

I might have spent $1000 in the 4 years I had it and most of that was tires

new cars are made to last much more than older cars
