Phone Jack Modding for Amps gain controls

ok, theroretically

the gain adjuster for an mtx is a phone jack as most amps are.....would there be a way to splice 2 together if i wanted to control 2 1510d's gains from one remote? would it work, could i spice the 7 internal cables at the right place, i think ima call mtx monday and see wht they have ot say....cause haveing to tune the 2 amps will be a pain

i am not really sure but i am going to say it might not be a very good idea.

you might short something out by basically connecting the two amps together.

but this is just a guess and i could be completely wrong.

ya im leaning towards your answer too....if mtx doesnt have a good answer for me im gonna not go with that idea....

ya know... i think as long as you include diodes you should be fine...

Why not just try a phone line splitter ? You shouldnt "short" anything out as long as all the wires match up ....

Sounds like a better idea but he still runs the risk of them shorting if the two come in contact with eachother.

i do believe there are electronics in the KNOB area of a remote gain. Most, if not all, manufacturers specifically state to NOT daisy chain remotes.

Use the gadet in my sig instead to control more than 1 amp, that's what I did/do.
