I really wish it was that simple. I had just enough in the budget for one upgrade this year.

Solder, flux and an iron. Take your time, be precise. You can fix it. I have had those outer sleeves come off before.

Once you fix it, relax the shield ring on your cables a little. Some mfgrs think they need to have a death grip on the jack, and you end up with problems like this.

I usually use a needle-nosed plier to bend them outward a little at a time, until they slide easily but snugly onto the jack.
Patience is a virtue when doing it.

If the movement/vibration is causing the problem, use silicone caulk in the opening where the RCA outlets come out of the chassis. Let it dry overnight to see if that works. If not, your problem is internal, and you need to open the chassis. Sometimes, it is as simple as re-soldering a loose wire. Let us know how you solved the problem.

The problem was Amazon sent me a used amp that had been returned under warranty. It was missing screws from both face plates and 1 from the bottom cover. The sheilds fell off of both rca hook ups and were bent enough that they was not touching the ground circuit inside of the rca jack. Skar stepped up and replaced it for me. They sent me a new amp and didn't want the messed up one back. Thanks everyone for the suggestions on how to repair it.

Skar has been losing a lot of customers to all these new Chinese knockoffs. It's good to see their customer service is stepping up to make sure they keep customers.
