i have a 1992 jeep and for a 0 ga ground i ran it to under the bolt for the rear seat buckles and its worked perfectly for years

for my grounds in the 88 i used the bolts for the back seats and it works with no problems so far

BTW: Just make your own jig to do the circle and terminal cut-out.
Just grab a piece of cardboard big enough, or a spare thin strip of wood.Drill at hole at one end, find the middle of everything.Mark where you want to put the sub, drill a hole and screw your jig down, but not so tight it won't go in the circle.Measure from the center of the screw and punch a hole at half the diameter of the cut-out that you want to do, insert pencil and go all the way around.

i use a thin 12" ruler...you know..the clear or colored plastic ones...works great

I ended up just drilling a hole in the wheel well and bolting it down right there. Seems to be doing fine.

never said they were perfect. the sub drops in and all the screw holes have plenty of wood to bite into, and no leaks, so i don't care how it looks
