Re SX15 vs RE MT12... given that the MT will get 2000 watts and the S will gets 1000 watts what will go lower, deeper and harder?? I have both of these and am considering installing the MT into my daily and getting rid of the SX15.... The 15 sounds great but is kinda overpowering (gots to be waaay down at stop lights and busy areas) anyways, can I get some thoughts, Im trying to achive a little more SQ then the SX and I dont know if my MT will do it as Ive never even heard the MT and I know they are bot SPL subs.. thanks in advance.

Just wanting to know if the MT will be a "better" sq sub(of the two, i know there SPL subs) then the 15sx.. My 15 is in 4 cubes tuned to 34hz and the Mt has a box built at 3.0 at 33 hz... The thing with changing to the MT is I will have to change my amps as my MD2d wont be enough, so Im going to go 2 sundown 1500's strapped to the mt.. trying to plan ahead.. I may have to scrap all this and go RE SE12's which i dont really want to do as I already own these subs and have power for the MT.

if u have 2k watts get 2 se15,sslap it in 7cubes with 100 square inches of port tuned to 32hz and u will shit in ur pants

80
Yeah i know, Im trying to work with equipment that I have tho... Ive spent 1000's and 1ooo's of dollars on this stuff that sits and stares at me on a daily basis.. Im trying to keep SPL equipment geared towards SQ which i know will be tough... .. ****, i cant find anyone thats even done an MT in a sealed and I know the SX's sound like poopoo in sealed so i need to keep these ported...

assuming the boxes are built right to specs you may not notice any difference between the 2. other then the fact with the more power the mt will get hella balls louder. if you're aiming for "sq" then you would want to move away from the mt.

but honestly man i've had spl based subs in well built ported boxes sound just as clean as many popular brand more "sq" minded subs in well built sealed boxes.....unless you **** up the box its hard to hear a difference....

Just buy an MX 15, best of both worlds as comparing a sx to a mt... the M from the MT and the X from the SX....lol

i kid i kid about that last part

That MX will get lower than the MT and louder than the SX and will sound amazing. Just giving you an extra option.

My MT's got pretty low in my car.

you already spent all that money

cant you spend just a little more for 2 boxes, and try it out yourself, instead of wondering what-if

Sell the mt and get a mx;) Just fXcking with ya. The mt will sound just as good as the sx in the right box, I would do the mt.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
