PAYPAL U : Building box right now, cant figure out port length *pics n specs*

Basically my math sucks, not only can I not accurately figure out my port area, I cant even be sure Im getting the right volume for my box, as every calculator seems to give me different numbers.

This is what the final box will look like, Ive got the whole thing built minus cutting out the front baffle / port and bracing since I cant do the math.

All box numbers are externals and to edges, using 3/4"

The port is where Im lost, the numbers inside the port, for the angles, are INSIDE number, basically, if you were to draw an imaginary square for the triangle cutouts I have, it would be 15.5" across, each side would 11", but each side where it breaks off form the straight up and down port, each length would be 6.5"

The port is 6" wide, 30.5" tall

I will also have about 86" total (4 braces) of 1X2

Im completely lost on how to figure this out. I need to know my internal box volume, total port area, and how long to make that port to get a 40hz tune.

Im sure Ill have to answer some questions as my drawings probly arent the best.

Have no problem paypalin someone a few dollars to help me out with this. Would love to get it done once it stops raining

THANKS!

what do you mean? I didnt bust out the vernier for the measurements, but eyeballed on a measureing tape, unless I mislabelled something Im not seeing it though, pretty sure everythings bang on

**** i see what I did when I quickly grabbed measurements, I put the tape to what I thought was the front of the box, but theres no front baffle on there yet......

Lemme change the pic

You really got 17 cubes for that though AFTER port? The bcae1.com calc gave me like 16.2 before port but after wood, someone in pm yesterday said I need to make the port 15" deep for the 40hz, but i changed the design slightly

the first ting you need to do is go get some correct dimensions.

if you cant take dimensions of a box with a **** tape measure, id ont know if you should be building a wall //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

I measured it as it sat, forgot to add the front baffle which isnt attached yet, I changed my pic. Thanks for laughin though bud

you should mention.... that you changed the original paintshop picture to fix the mistake.
^^^^^^^

Those numbers are correct. Ive checked twice. Any help on port area and length for the 40hz tune?

Well as far as I can tell its 10.75, but I obviously dont know the math, I cant even see that seem on the box, Im only feeling with my hand where the edge/corner is and 10.75 is what Im getting.

My brains dead from building in the rain today and stripping my car completely, should have woke up earlier, ran out of light, was hoping to get this build atleast built today, then glassed and beauty panels tomorrow. Stupid rain

I dont like that one person told me 15.3" for port length, and galactic mentions only 7". Quite a difference, I would love to know Im getting an accurate number for 40hz with that port design.

Im even surprised he said I came up with 225" of port
