Paying for install question

okay i have no idea what you guys are talking about lol i dont know and of those words like grounded and stuff like that just if i were to get one 10" pioneer sub and one pioneer 800 amp installed how much money should i give the guy? there is now way i would install them anyways the dealership where i bought my car said today that if i dont have a liscensed professional install them then it would void the warranty on my new truck and we wouldnt want to do that

go ahead and pay then but you'll kick yourself in the head a few times when you find out how much easier it would have been to do yourself and the money you would save by installing yourself you could get other goodies with.

do you have to connect the power wire first to ground the amp like with a computer, or did you just put that first but it doesnt really matter?

I don't think it really matters becuase when you hook everything up the negative terminal of your battery is disconnected so there should be no power flowing at all.

i'm sure he'd kick himself more if he installed, then his ****** went out and the warrenty in his truck was voided.

Phreaker? Is there any specific reason you stated that the ground cable should be about 3 feet long?(not trying to flame ~ I'm just curious as to why you stated a certain length)

Becuase that is the length of ground wire that comes with most amp wiring kits although the shorter your ground the less resistance and what not.Shorter ground, power and other runs FTW.

If someone can actually manage that then they are a dumbass that did not take the time to read and re read again and follow as many installation guides as possible.

Crutchfield.com has an excellent amp install guide.

Please tell me that you didn't do that once LOL?!

not meant as his ****** would go out cuz of the install, lol. But if he installs, and later, be it days, weeks, months something goes wrong with his truck then he is SOL

okay i am going to installed i know how to do everything except the wires that go to the head unit i have a stock 06 dodge ram 1500 head unit is it possible for me to wire the amp to it without buying like a lineout converter or whatever that is?
