Hi,
I'm currently running:
Eclipse 8454 (Pro)
Eclipse DA7122 (1 Ch)
Eclipse Aluminum 10" (x2)
Eclipse PA5422 (4 Ch)
DA HEX S600s (x2, yes flame me lol) Passive
I got a deep discount for Eclipse.
Anyhow,
I want to switch over to an Active setup (probably in 2 weeks since I'll finally have a weekend off). I'll just be using the XO from the source unit since it's enough for non-comp use. I just wanted to make sure I had all my info correct prior to proceeding.
Headunit Low Pass -> DA7122 -> Subs stays the same. No changes needed
Headunit Mid -> PA5422 REAR -> 6.5" Speakers
Headunit High -> PA5422 FRONT -> Tweeters
Now, for the info so I don't blow everything up... the Hex are rated as 120w RMS @ 4 ohms (mid) and 90w RMS @ 8 ohms(silk tweeter). (Info: http://www.diamondaudio.com/products/pdfs/HEX_Manual_A5.pdf)
My 4Ch amp is rated to run at [85w RMS @ 4 ohms] or [120w RMS @ 2 ohms] (assuming 13.8V in both).
Is it possible to connect everything to run @ 2 ohms (how to wire?) or should be just ran @ 4 ohms (how to wire the tweeters?).
As stated, I'm a supernewb. I will be removing the 2nd set of HEX and just have them laying around just in case.
All input and criticisms welcome =D
