I wouldn't run a PR in my car, especially in the Wisconsin climate. In a room that is climate controlled it is a completely different story though. If you are shooting for SQ, just do a ported and tune low or stick with sealed.

I never thought about the climate being a factor. How would it affect the PR differently than a subwoofer?

why would the climate have anything to do with weather or not a passive radiator would work?
