Parts ordered, time to build a box

Hey all,

So I finally settled on an MB Quart PWH 302 sub, and a Power Acoustix OV2-1250 amp. Source is a Pioneer DEH-P6000UB head unit. I'll feed the amp with 4 gauge wiring, and use 10 gauge for the speaker connections (guessing)

I'm going to bridge the amp, and run 4ohms.

I want to build a sealed enclosure for it, and I've never done this before //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

The specs from MB Quart state 1.3 cubic feet to be optimal. The specs also list Qtc=1.17, and F3=37. How do these numbers influence box design?

Also, assuming a simple cube root, I get ~13.08 inches for each side. I assume this size would be enough clearance on the back end of the woofer?

I plan on using 1" MDF, and going to Home Depot and having them cut the pieces for me.

I welcome any and all advice!!!

there is no need for 1", 3/4 is fine

Right, so the cube root of 1.3 is ~ 1.09, which means ~13.09 inches.

Does the stated cubic air space take into consideration the displacement of the woofer?

In other words, if I literally make a 13 and 1/16 inch cube with a 12" hole in one side, should I be good to go??
