A used Chevy Blazer. Decent on gas. Trucks are comfortable on long trips. Plenty of room in the hatch for stuff.

i was thinking something along those lines, like a blazer, jeep cherokeet (sp?) which one of those small SUV's would b the best?

I heard a new Nissan Versa was 12 grand out the door. Maybe I heard wrong. as others have mentioned, anything Jap would be fine. Around here used Civics are a dime a dozen. Good chance for a deal.

- It may not be "fuel efficient" but the last time I looked at a crown vic or Grand Marquis they can be had for 4-6 grand.

other cars = 18-34 mpg

gas = $3 gallon,

Have you done the math to figure out how many miles you have to drive to make a more expensive, but more fuel efficient vehicle pay for itself???

My vote is for a chevy blazer, 20mpg, good power, plenty of room, comfortible.
