Box is .5 cubes tuned to 35 HZ and .2 cubes tuned to 64 HZ. Mainly metal and rock listener with occasional older 90s rap. RDS audio 6.5 inch sub. 400 watts RMS

I like the rds stuff, Rick has built up the line and the 6.5 are lil monsters if enclosed right. I've a bit of experience designing for those particular subs.

They seem to do pretty good in .5 tuned to 35 hz or so. This is the first generation. I pulled it from a box that had 4 of these in it, 3 of them blown. This was the lone survivor. My first time using anything from RDS. It feels nice. I might buy one for myself. It's a heavy little sucker.

They're hi ebp subs, tuning them 36hz in .4ft3 with 6.5in2 of port seems to let them open up, in a 6th?
I'd probably try for a 1:1 or close and ignore modeling software. Sooo peaky no matter how you model it with a 6th. Remember cabin gain is any part of the result. I've had great luck designing ported for those. Ive yet to try a 4th because of the reverse ratio and ebp but a 6th is doable. Given the ratios are on point.
Design for what the sub likes... Dont force it.

That metal sign is about 80 years old. The Vernors Ginger Ale sign next to it is from the 1940s. I had another one kinda like it with a little bearded guy on it, but an older guy offered 250$ for it….and I needed more audio. Lol.

Thank you sir. I’ve done a few hundred boxes now so I’m getting reasonably efficient.
