no. it depends on your subs an amp. example. you have an amp that produces wattage at 1 ohm. you have a single dual 2 ohm sub. well you will wire that sub in paralell for a 1 ohm load. read the sticky in the wiring forum for wiring diagrams. it is just a way to pair up an amp with a sub.
