is it bad if u overpower the sub ex if i have a sub with 800 RMS and an amp with 1600w would that be bad because i want to eventually add some speakers 2 the amp also

Probably some 6 pound (insert ***-tasting Exploding amp company here) that says MAX 1600W and rates their mps for 800WRMS and actually puts out about 50 watts.

Is the amplifier 1,600 max or 1,600rms? If its max the rms on it is probably 800rms so you will be fine and you shouldn't hook up another sub unless you decided to get another amp.
