Out of Phase Wiring - Does switching phase on amp correct this?

I had this problem with my TXA-1000d in my last setup. Basically one of your remote knobs is bad and has a loose connection in it. Unplug them both and see if its louder....granted you will have no control over the subs besides your deck...but that should be enough control. Anyways try unplugging the bass knobs and see what happens.

Well I played with the rca's and found a difference. I completely removed the one set that wasnt the rcas for the sub output, so Im running only 1 set from the HU to 1 amp, then from that amps output to the other amps input and it seem to work just fine...

BTW - for the guy that said my remote knob went bad, I actually noticed before I did the rca swap I removed the bass knob connector from one of the amps iand it got louder, Right now there both connected **** I forgot about that...... but yeah I think one of hose may be bad now that I think about it....

Its still only as loud as 2 15's on 1 amp was though, maybe even a bit quiter and I tuned a few hz higher. I would think 4 15's 17 cubes and 2000rms would be louder..... so I still think theres an issue or two.

Also my alt cant keep up with the current draw at idle, I was playing it pretty high and ideling which I was playing around and I heard the buss start to get muffled and miss beats so I turned it down and turned off the car, tried to start it again.. dead battery lol

I have a second battery underthe hood that I just havent wired yet so Im gonna do that tomorrow. And I have to do the last of my big 3 which is my battery to altnernator wire, I just dont have a proper fuse for it yet.....

try getting some y splits for the rca's that way you know for sure the are getting the same thing you have to match the gains on the amps one may give out a little more than the other. I would do away with the bass knobs. And in my opinion 17 cubes is huge for 4 15's.

Also if all four subs are in a common chamber then it is going to be vary tricky matching the amps without getting some sort of cancelation.

17 cubes is what DJ recomended and that all I had.

Ive never properly set my gains wiht a dmm before so I might try that this time around and possibly do away with the bass knobs, they just used to be so hndy based on the song that was playing.....

What the hell is there to rewire, the sub terminal wiring is correctfor sure, ive double checked it. To me its an amp problem or a remote gain problem or rca signal problem, but its knowwhere near as loud as it should be for 4 15's. Unless the audioble gain in doulbing the cone area, doubling the power and doubling the box size wouldnt be noticeable.....
