Out of Phase Wiring - Does switching phase on amp correct this?

So I got my setup hooked up just now in rough (no hidden wires or anything) and Im getting low output. So somethings not right, it sounds like a set of 12" type r's at most. Im running 4 audioque sdc 2.5 15's on 2 cadence txa 1000D amps. So 2 subs per amp.

So for each set its basically all positives together (4 total) and run that to the pos of the amp, and all 4 negatives from both subs to the amp negative..... and I did that for both sets

I HIGHLY doubt I got it wrong but you never know and its pretty hard for me to pull out my setup. My amps have a 180* phase shift switch on them. if I flick them on one amp or the other would this tell me if anything is wrong?

Any other suggestions?

Btw, this is 4 15's ported @ 17cubes @ 40hz. Should BANG, but it doesnt lol

use one rca hook up....take the one rca (from the h/u) and plug one (L or R) into each of the amps....basically split the signal...should correct the problem...but i would find a bigger amp and get rid of the 2.

I would say there is more than one problem. are the two amps daisy chained as in one master one slave just not straped? If not you need to level match them first and then try what cj4 said. and you should not have to hit the phase switches. I would go back over the wiring and then level match you will more than likely find a problem in the wiring somewhere.

would probably be better if you check all your wiring and settings first, before asking what's wrong. You're just asking everyone to guess what your problem is..

i believe that phase setting is more of how the sound waves travel relative to where you are in the car, or something along those lines. somebody correct me if im wrong.

no are not daisy chained, each amp feeds 2 subs on its own.

I just popped the hatch with the subs playing, and the 2 lower drivers are moving ALOT more than the top 2.......

But I dont know which amp is feeding which 2 drivers as the wires were just pushed through the hole i drilled then sealed and only marked for positive and negative.....

Is there anyway to isolate an amp or a set of drivers without pulling the drivers out of the box (difficutl) by playing with phase switches or polarity or rcas on the amp?

Well its definetelng or amp problem. I just thought to check and see if maybe I had the remote bass knobs turned down. So I was playing with them and only 1 of the knobs makes a difference, and its very noticeable. Going from quiet to pretty oud, but th other knob makes no difference at all.

Need help on how to isolate this problem

well if its a remote gain, then the gain is basically gunna be at a very low voltage with the knob down. something around 7 or 8 volts most likely. which will make the subs seem like they have relatively low output.

whats the bass boost setting on the amps themselves? if i was you, i would turn the bass boost as low as it will go on the amp and ditch the remote bass knobs.

just set your gains right using the DMM and control your bass from your HU. if you want it loud, turn up the SW outputs on the HU. you want to turn it down, again, use the subwoofer outputs on the HU.
