is it hooked up to the amp?

are they used speakers?

are both your rca's plugged in?

check your HU settings for left/right settings

to test if the am has a blown channel swap the speaker connections to see if the working speaker works on the other channel.

we have new speakers and new amp straight from kicker, rca's are matched left right left right, (hu settings could be it we havnt played with that) amp channel shud be fine...

all wired correctly, the amp turns on and it starts to get warm/hot without the sub even moving or playing, its all fused right, just possibly the hu settings or what?

do the speaker swap to see if any of the channels are messed up. you can also try to wire the speakers directly to the amp out of the sub box. i had an issue with terminal cups which was causing 2 amps to heat up and mess with the cars electrical some time ago. was confusing as hell. also check for any wire strands, you could be shorting something out with 2 wires tapping into each other.

ya it's the zx1500.1 so one channel, and we were gonna try to wire straight from sub to amp without terminal cups... but 'awry' lost the allen wrench... haha and didn't have another so we got kinda screwed there, i personally think it's in the terminal cup but i'm running to the local stereo shop, awesome guys always helping and hooking me up with stuff, so they should know what's up
