ok i have 2 12" Rlps and i am having some extreme issues setting everything up on this amp... i have been assured by many people that 2 rlps can take 2500+ watts at one ohm on this amp... i have a stock alt... havent done big three and i am using 1/0awg industrial welding cable as my power wire... the issue is that i can cant safely ( in my mind ) use this amp at full power like it is... i have my subsonic above box tuning. gains are weird cuz when i have it at 1/4 gain they bareley move but setting it much farther above that my subs begin to reach mechanical limits... ive had it set up 2 ways where the subs dont make horrible sounds.... one way the highs were loud as crap and the other way the lows were loud but i can get both sounding how i want at the same time without fear of screwing my subs up.... i need help so bad it aint funny... any and all help is appreciated especially if u are running this same setup!

So any at all further past 1/4 and your subs cant take it? That sounds weird. Im not exactly sure what you mean about the highs loud as crap and lows. You mean what the subs are hitting? What are you box specs. How do you have them wired, and what is the voice coil config on them?

Devillian, what the hell are you doing out of the lounge? Cant say Ive seen this before!

Anyway, sound like your crossovers arent set correctly.

Why not follow the extremely detailed, very safe gain setting formula found on the forum, rather than take a guess?

yes... they go from hardly movin at all at 1/4th gain to moving so much it looks like they are going to blow apart between 1/4th and half gain... there is no in between.

what i mean on that one is that either the lows are loud as shit or the highs are loud as shit not both. and how i come to the conclusion of saying not both i mean without making the horrible over excursion sound. there are 2 ways that i found that work "safe"(without over excursion) but i can't have loud highs and lows in the same configuration (that i can figure out)

What are you box specs.
i have 2 seperate 2.0cf boxes tuned at 31-32hz with about 26 sq inches of port area

How do you have them wired, and what is the voice coil config on them?
they are 2 dual 4 ohm subs wired paralell/paralell to a 1 ohm load on the amp.

now that i turned my r&b/rap eq off on my deck they barley work now.. they move but they arent as loud as when the eq was on.... this is severely pissing me off... think any of these problems has to do with my elec system? i mean i am using a stock alt on a 2500d at 1 ohm.. i expected to have probs but not like this....

turn your high pass on, turn the dial to your port tuning (prolly 30 hertz) because your high pass is your subsonic filter when activated. turn your low pass on and to 80-90 hertz. phase at 0. turn your q boost all the way down to 0. turn your gain down, get out the tones, and adjust gain accordingly. if you dont need the q boost, great, its only there to get more out of the amp if needed.

just did big 3... but now i prolly need to get an new alternator.... if i am running it at 2500w at 1 ohm and it doesnt have the power to get there, would it run as good as my 1000w hifonics if i put it a 4 ohm load at 1200w with my subs? im just not getting any output at 1 ohm... i dont know what the deal is... they move... but no output... any suggestions?
