Alright well, after actually listening to the new system the last few days I got to thinking. I think I want something that will get alittle louder, since my other system was a SPL system. I mean I'm very happy with the SQ on the new system, and I know it's hard finding a balance between SQ and SPL. Right now I have 2 12" Alpine Type X's, I'm not saying I dislike them, great SQ sub, but they are just not as loud as I would like. I want to keep the box I have, it's right around 3.75cbft tuned to 36Hz. I have 2 Alpine MRD-M1005's to power whatever with (1000 watts RMS @ 2 Ohms). I was thinking maybe 2 12" W7's, or 2 12" IDMax's. I'm just wonder if it's even worth swaping them out, or just keeping what I got. I guess I'm just use to my ears about bleeding, I'm not saying the set up I have can't make my ears hurt... it does, but not as much as my last set up.

No kidding, I have 2 type R 12's on an Orion 1200d at .5 ohm and it gets hella loud. Wanted the type x, but alittle out of reach right now. Im even running sealed.

Yes but people's thoughts of loud and mine are different. 140db to me isn't loud, start getting into the 150's and to me that's starting to get loud. I'm not sure how loud this set up is, but it can make my ears hurt pretty bad. Though I would like louder while keeping the SQ the same if possible.
