Options comparable to The Mag?

I would've liked to get a 15" mag, however the coil configuration won't really allow me to, and I can't afford the space or $ for 2.

I've got a lanzar opti 2000D that is rated as the following, although I've heard of the Opti doing 2000w RMS at 0.5ohm.

1 x 700 @ 4 ohms

1 x 1100 @ 2 ohms

1 x 1600 @ 1.3 ohms

1 x 2000 @ ½ ohm (MAX)

Fuse: 6 x 30A

I've got an Eclipse SW8200 right now, and I know you have to substitute SQ for SPL, however I would like to retain as much SQ as possible.

I will be doing a ported closure to specifications of the new woofer (Grand Cherokee = spacious)

What other options am I looking at? Single 15", great SQ, low and loud.

mags are awesome, most definatly. i dont see why you wouldnt be able to run one. your options are 4 ohm or 1 ohm final load. and the amp puts out 1600 or so @ 1 ohm. the mag can handle that with ease.

another good bet is the 05 RE xxx's . got louder than the mag off roughly the same power. super low end monster, great SQ.

either one will handle 1600w @ 1 ohm no problem.

Like George said, there is absolutely no reason you can't run a Mag with that amp. You could go with a Fi Q, I've heard they have great SQ and are very loud as well.

Will a Q handle over 1600w RMS daily? I can get the dual 1 and put 1100w on it, or dual 2 and put 1600w.

well considering box rise it will be rare for the sub to see anything over 1000w or so anyways, so yes it will handle an amp rated for 1.6k

get the power option on the Q and you should be fine.
