OPTIONS: 2 15" RE XXX's or 4 JL W3's

This will b going in a 2002 Explorer Sport. If i decide to get the XXX's it will b in a ported enclosure. If I go with the JL's it will b sealed. Which would yall choose? If i got with the XXX"s I will get 2 RE 12.1 amps. If i get the 4 JL's i will get 1 1000/1 amp.

4 jl what....the only way to even compete with the output of 2 xxx15's is to get 4 jl15w3's

and another jl 1000/1

Pretty much what 80 said. But then the JL setup would be considerably more money. The XXX setup looks like the right option to me. But then, I chose dual xxx 15's a while ago too, so I supppose Im biased.

actually there about the same in price i have a friend that can get me JL for cheap the w3v2's would b 12's. and i jus dont kno what to do b/w the 2. if i get the xxx's tho ill b gettin the re amps that only do 1200 x 1 and idk if that will b enough power

well its all box dependant....if u design your box accordingly 1200 should be enough

When I said it would be more money for the JL setup, that was with getting another 1000/1. Like 80 said, one just wouldn't be enough, just as one amp for both xxx's wouldn't be enough. I have yet to install my xxx's in my Blazer. I have too many projects going on. For example, I just blew the rear-end out of my 4x4 last weekend. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

edit: I chose Phoenix Gold Tantrum 1200.1's for each of my xxx's (also not installed yet of course). They are a great deal used right now imo, 1400-1500 watts (both mine birthed just over 1550), class-T and can be found for under $300 each. The subs could definitely take more power, and I will probably upgrade to 2000-2500 watts each sometime later.
