I think the *idea* is that the longterm goal is energy independence and lower costs since they won't have to pay for energy, heating, etc, etc, since they get their energies from the light bulb in the sky.
I agree its a great idea when no outside considerations are taken into account. I sometimes wonder if we will be able to stay afloat long enough to reach the end goal while we continue to lose jobs, wages, tax base, etc. I also wonder what the value is in just pushing the pollution to another part of the world. We will have no jobs and no money, but hey our air will be clean...atleast until it blows in from a polluting country where all our jobs are.

At 16 yrs old you are not nearly as well informed as you would like to believe. Ill play the age card because knowledge is something aquired over time. If you feel that you are so enlightned, spread the word to your peers who seem to be continually proving they will be the downfall of society.
At least there will be less pollution for God to shine said light.
