Well everybody on CA ought to know......Optima Batteries Shut down the only USA plant they had.

They laid off 1200 Americans and moved their operation to of all places MEXICO !!

The plant was in CO. and they promised their employees they would never do that......

One of the employees recently dropped a bomb and said they had some problems with some windings and continued to ship out batteries !

So all those that have to buy a battery soon think about what you purchase and where the money is going............

The battery is not that good anyway if you check the specifications...the RC is really down..compared to other batterys.

Keep your money in the USA...and dont buy any Optima crap...

Or you can purchase it and fuel the drug and taco business in Mexico

When are we all going to wise up......yea when its too late....

Its just one business after another goling to Mexico and or China and we keep buying.......

It will catch up.....sooner than later

good ol JCI I got fired from JCI after arguing a lot with management about shipping out a rebuild that was below standards. I was asked "will it last six months" by a guy named mukul anand and I say it might so he said to ship it out anyway. it blew up upon start up lol. but then he blamed me for it.

Yeah good luck with the whole buy American only stuff. We have dug ourselves a hole years ago.........are you just now realizing it?

I have had many Optima batteries from over the years and never had one problem with them. Actually have one in my current install.

Everyone *****es that they don't make enough money, so in order to pay workers more companies have to raise prices. Then everyone *****es about their shit being so expensive. It's a double edged sword, everyone wants to make 20$ an hour but then they want the companies products to be sold for dirt cheap. That's why companies pull out and go elsewhere, it's either that or jack their prices up. Which would you prefer?

Exactly. This is also the main cause for inflation.

sucks, one of my old neighbors used to work for them :/

Truth though, 1200 jobs to mexico is a drop in the bucket compared the jobs the US hemorrhages to offshoring of manufacturing and service every year.

The US is fukd until we are all willing to work for the wages that developing 3rd world countries are willing to accept...
