oppinion inquiry on new system (2nd try)

to get loud!!! lol.....4 15's would pretty much limit me on space 4 would be about the max without building a wall......4 12's would give me the option of adding two more later...i have room for 6 12's + can still see outta my rearveiw mirror 26" high + 38" wide....i can go as deep as needed

If all you want is loud then why was there 2 pages of sub size relating to SQ?

Get 2 18's in big ole boxes if you wanna move some air and get real loud.

I guess I wouldnt be good for this discussion since I havent used much aside from 15's in the past 3 years. My best SQ sub setup is my current one, 15" Rl-p

thats wut started this huge thread.....i want loud when i want it to be loud, ...but 75-85% of the time, will be used for soundquality........the crossfire dealer here also recomended sumthing that he said he did once,,,,,he said he had 4 12's and had a switch that turned two 12's + 1 of the amps off for SQ, then when he entered SPL, he turned them all on.... jus to let u know this particular dealer has won many comps SQ+SPL he has won nationals b4, and recently build a nissan 350z that finished #2 in the world by on-line pole .......... so thats one of the reasons that i thought his oppinion of SQ subs might be vallid

that may work but it'd be to much trouble for a guy like me....im a huge fan of single woofer setups as oposed to more than 3 woofers, i've heard many setups with 4+ woofers in them and havent heard one yet that sounded to great, they got loud but they didn't sound good, i like SQ with some output when i search for drivers. the XXX are by far the best SQL woofers i've personally heard, great output as well as great SQ, i'd run some of those if u want SQL.

when u say best that u've heard by far....wut others have u heard.....i recently got my g/f a pair of 12" RF P3's in her accord ....the P3's, + the T1's are the best RF's that i have heard (not a big RF fan) b4 that, she had (2) 12" type R ...that sounded decent too....i have heard a set up of (4) of the type Rs in a civic + that got LOUD!!!! and very clean.......so would u'r personal listning experience compare to some of those?.......wut other good setups have u heard?

well...ive heard alot of things in my day, i have heard a crx with 4 comp vrs in it...loud but sounded terrible, ive heard a crx with 3 RE SE 12s in it....that thing was loud and sounded **** good, my brother has a blazer with 4 10inch mtx 7500s....sounds decent at low volume but once the volume knob turns up it slowly looses sound quality, one of my friends has a caddy deville with 3 image dynamic IDMAX 12s sounds amazing and has great output (143.7 db), i've personally had 4 12inch pioneers and it sounded like shit ( wasnt shootin for SQ on that) i've heard way to much shit to even think about or post here right now lol

edit: how can i forget my buddys explorer with 4 rockford power 15s on 4 punch 45s, no sq there lol but it however is really loud

thanx for the input again.....what about dimond audio...the same RF dealer also carries DA....heard them? bassicly within about 15 miles, i can get RF, Dimond Audio...........Crossfire,JBL,Kenwood.......or JL,JBL+Memphis.......which of those have u hear, would u recomend, and do u know if they are decent priced?

I would have expected nothingless. Not going to crap on crossfire becuase their amps are great. Look into soundsplinter for another SQL option if the XXX carries to heavy of a price tag.

This is my 15, put 4 of these ported in a car and its going to be real loud and sound real good.

RL-p is another option for cheaper than the XXX, diamond audio subs have great quality the d6 is a great driver, i havent heard the D9 or TDX (same thing if im not mistaken) but i know alot of people with them and they dont complain, and the price tag isn't as heavy as others if you buy on ebay. The SI Mag is another woofer i forgot to mention, a little pricey though...
