Right now I have a Kicker S10L7 DVC 4 ohm sub. Ive got it wired in parallel in a sealed .9 ft^3 box. Its running on a KAC X812D ( somewhere around 600-800 W i think). As is, I am disappointed in it. Its not loud enough, has ok sound quality. It gets kinda nasty sounding when I put a lot of power to it.
So, I think I'm guna try putting it in a ported box. I used winisd .44 beta. Here is my design so far.
Box Volume: 2.52 ft^3
Port Length: 11.7 inches (may change)
Port Diameter: 4 inches
Tuning Frequency: 30 Hz (may change)
I wasnt sure what frequency to port to, so i used 30 Hz for now. Im planning to use 4" pvc for the port. When i build it, i was planning to try several different lengths to see what sounds best.
Any suggestions welcome.
