Opinions on Some MB Quarts

they are still pretty close to the same sound

the same original German designers still design them, only manufacturing location has changed..

look at the review PasMag did on them...they were worried as well and were pleasantly surprised that the sound is still the same as it always was..

Review Conclusion...

"As it turns out, my fears of the change of manufacturing venue were pretty much unfounded, this system definitely sounds like an MB Quart system should, and the only things I noticed dramatically different were the packaging and the lack of wire. So fear not, if you were an MB Quart fan before, you still will be today. For the money, you’d be hard pressed to get a much better sounding 6.5” component set than the MB Quart Discus series. They are well made, good sounding, and if your tastes run to preferring a system with a strong yet smooth top end, they should be on the top of your list of systems to audition."

I just wish i could compete with sonics prices lol

but unauthorized grey market is near impossible to touch for me

I was duly impressed with my demo truck to say the least... people ask me to turn it down it is so loud and crisp..

of course i am running over 210% of rms to them....lolz

I have both and like both

I have at l;east 1 of every series MBQ has ever made and they are all good sounding.

I would try the F series and go from their

they will surprise you..

and it is their rock bottom line...

Hey SicAudio.

Thanks for the link for the review on those Quarts, but

you say those MB Quarts are loud & Clear, with about the same Quality of sound as the old Quarts???

The older Quarts had really clean tonality in the upper midrange & the midbass was very clean, solid as the midbass.

If the tweeter was on axis it could be harsh to some peoples ears.

So the question i have for you.

It seems like you are a MB Quarts dealer, right!

I believe everyone hears things different.

I would say that this guy should go listen to a many comp sets to decided which will sound good to his ears.

I have heard the older Quarts & newer Quarts.

I wouldn't spend my money on newer Quarts which there are so many more newer companies that have come up like Hertz,Rainbow,HAT, Image dynamics & older companies as in Morel, Dynaudio,focal,etc......

This guy needs to know that his install very important.

Oh i wouldn't say that those Quarts mids sound better then CDT es-6 mids.

To me both quarts/Maxxsonic & CDT make harsh tweeters
