Opinions on Power Acoustik

Hey guys I did a quick search but didn't find too many opinions on these amps. A friend has one that he asked me to help install. Are these amps any good or should I suggest that he look for something else. It says 800 watts on the case but I am pretty sure that is a peak power number. Just wanted to know what any of you that have used them thought of them. Thanks

Their amps are on the same level as hifonics amps. A tad overrated, but a nice bang for the buck.

i have used a few models from PA and some are power hungy and some are not that bad.. i was powering a 10"kicker L5 with a PA that was puting out 460rms and it did pretty darn good i was impressed

never heard it this way but it is 100% accurate. Go with a class D PA Amp if you grab one. The ab's **** juice badly... i had one bridged running 500rms or so and it sucked more juice than any amp i've had...

the number on the amp is more than likely peak power but i run my 12"L7 off a PA1600 (620rms) and its never given me a problem never got hot. BUT they are pretty inefficient as stated

I just purchased a brand new 1800 off ebay for $214 shipped, so I will let you know how it works out for me. It will be powering one Alpine Type R 12"
