opinions on my plan

oh. well no i havent tried it, but i have heard them before. they get **** loud. you could do two sealed also and still be very happy. you should think about it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
i'm open to it for sure. 2 sealed might be a bit louder, but 1 ported would be funner.

both i guess. any moron with 1000$ can get loud with 12's. i want to design performance, instead of overpower inefficiency.
well in that case fiberglass two of those DD's. you got quality, efficiency, and performance. id love to see that installed in your truck //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

i'll definately take pics and videos along the way. the key is rounding up the money. i have amps and wire. i'm also thinking of switching to coaxials, instead of components.

what reason do you have behind switching to coax? you lose tunability and quality

it's just a thought. i'll probably just move the tweeter off the dash and hide it somewhere lower. going for stealth. just looking in to those dd 6.5's. they look like they could handle far more than 150 watts. i have an xtant a 4004, which is 2x200 @ 2 ohms, or 4x100 at 4 ohms. i also have a mtx thunder 200 rms @ 4 ohms. and a ppi pc2350. 1400 @ 4 ohms. probably going to run the ppi @ 8 ohms.

cool. keep me updated on what substage you run. PM me with info. and if you move your tweeter, you're going to have a hole. thats not very stealthy. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

i'll probably flush mount in the dash or door.

I definitly want to see this.
Its got me interested in doing it..
i keep getting smaller with subs over the years. i find that 2 8's can yield quite a bit more than expected. it got me interested in seeing how small i can get, and still keep the bass.

whats that? the DD 6.5's? if so ill keep you updated. im ordering 2 of them to run as a substage in the front of my car. always wanted to do it, no reason not to //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

lol same here. started with a 15, then two 12's, then a single 10, now im onto two 8's. but that will soon be four 8's

Yes those....My interest is peaking to wanting to do some kind of set up in my 95 2 door Cutlass.
