Opinions on a cigarette lighter digital volt meter? And How to wire my subs to 1 ohm?

they measure the current, if the current drops it shows it... if you want direct voltage measurement add one to the battery and one to the amp.. add a toggle switch if you just get the 2 wire ones...

It doesn't matter if it measures voltage at the cigarette lighter. It is monitoring the main battery which is important. Voltage at the amp is not as important as voltage at the main battery.

The main concern is monitoring the main battery to see if you are still running on the alt or if the main battery drops.

Thank you for answering my question. Because that is what I was wondering and I assumed it required a toggle to turn it off.

Very good point.

Instead of a toggle I cut my meter apart(same as yours)and mounted it in my dash and ran it off the HU power and ground to turn it on/off but it works well and is dead on with my dmm, I couldn't stand unplugging it to use my cup holders.

That makes perfect sense.

Speakers are rated in nominal impedance not DC resistance, DMM's measure DC resistance. If you want to check your wiring measure one coil then measure the final load they should be the same for what you are trying to do.
Yeah. That is why. Each voice coil measures at 1.5ohms
