Okay, so I'm looking at building a new system on a budget and was looking at some assasin 8's... but I want something bigger.. So i thought back to subs Ive owned and my old bazooka came up. It was an EL series 12... and somehow i got it on ebay for like 20 bucks after shipping. Perfect shape. Lasted quite a while too! I always thought it sounded alright, and was wondering what your opinions are on bazooka subs. Theyre inexpensive subs. Nothing fantastic, but its a DD system, and im getting out of the whole loudness thing and getting into the sq side of things. Im planning on 4 10's or 12's so cost is a big issue here. What do you guys think? Any experience with their subs, not the tubes though, theyre ghey?

i was looking into some assassin 8's as well. 50 a pop isnt bad.. ive seen some amazing systems run off of just 8" subs. this one guy i know has 4 8" JL's and u can hear it like 3 blocks away.. good for SQ also.

Yeah... but 4 jl's = atkins diet for ur wallet.
