Looking to get a couple of 10s to put in a subthump box in my hatchback. Been a while since I've been in the car audio scene, so trying to get some insight on what's good out there now. I had Petra Prowlers before, and they were real good with all kinds of music, but that was years ago. So help me out with some suggestions please.

Please ban yourself with ignorant statements like this. Why do I see so much misinformation everywhere? In a sealed box, Type R's sound great IMO. You probably wouldn't know that though, because you probably haven't heard them sealed, and instead are just a forum sackrider trying to sound smart. So please STFU if you don't know what you're talking about.

They are both built well and are of good quality......if you are speaking of sound quality, the Type X will be a better choice to consider for most listeners, but the Type R sounds good also. Remember, the Type X's need 1000 watts or more to really shine, so if you're going for 2 subs you may want to do something a little less power hungry if you aren't planning on changing your electrical system.
