So I am working and I feel something ratteling the whole store. So I figure this must be awesome right? It is my boss with 2 12" CVX's off a Kicker kx.1200.1. It wanged pretty hard..harder then my 1 12 rlp with an orion 600d. I was just wondering why it was so much louder? He had voltage spikes or whatever though from like 11.1 to 11.8ish.

you say that like his set up is junk. He has twice the power as you and twice the cone area, should pound a lot harder than your as long as its installed properly, which i guess it is.

if you have one 12" with 500wrms is it just as loud

as two 12" with 500wrms??

Assuming the same subs and the same enclosures for each setup the twin sub setup will still be louder by theoretically 3dB.

like everyone else said, twice the cone area. and with the Kicker kx1200.1 i wouldnt be suprised if he's running at least twice the power then u are. Kinda stupid question.....
