THE WHOLE THING!!!
it isn't an invasion of privacy, imo, because you DON'T have to agree to it. You can simply say "no" and not be an employee."somewhat" an invasion of privacy ? How isn't it an invasion of privacy ?
I'm not saying that the company doesn't have the right to do it if it's written in their policy and agreed upon by the employee, but if sheep keep letting companies get away w/ violating basic human rights, then that's what they'll continue to do. I personally think it's complete BS and would never agree to anything like that (and I don't even use drugs and drink maybe once a month).
Also, not every drug user is a drug addict.
Invasion of privacy is exactly that, INVASION. If you agree to it, it's not invasion.
I don't mean to start an argument.
Also, i'm not saying every drug user is an addict, but the risk of hiring a drug user who will turn into an addict is apparently high enough that companies see it as something that needs to be controlled. Afterall, doesn't a current drug user have a higher risk of becoming an addict versus a person who doesn't use drugs at all?
