Gateway computer swapping cases? anyone?

Has anyone tried to swap out the MOBO in a gateway computer into a aftermarket case?

I bought my G/F a computer and the case was total shit but when i went to swap out the MOBO to another case i seen it doesnt fit right. i believe the MOBO is a Micro ATX

Looks like your gateway is BTX which means you need a BTX case

EDIT: Beat me to it. They make BTX cases just very few...

i believe it won't work.

brand company computers are specified to work with their companies products. for intance the mother board and their cases work one on one.

with the images you have pointed out, the outputs/inputs are placed differently.

Just mod the case it's in. I do it for people all the time. You can actually make a lot of them look really good. Plus most manufactures cases are at least built well, better then most cases you'll get for under $50.
