Not if I didn't have policies and other means to prove it.

LMAO. That is kind of naive do0d.

My point is that unless job performance is effected, you should have no reason to suspect, or to harass your workers. Its like cops that need a warrant or probable cause to search. They cant just come up to you and search you, they need a reason.

No, dipshit. I'm staying on topic with the thread. If you want to question the law, that is a completely different topic. If you want to discuss it with me, start a new thread. If you want to discuss it with others in this one go for it, but don't try to twist what I say.
Go fck yourself. Ill state what i want, wherever the fck i want. Ok?

And its not a completely different topic, you just want to sway anyone that disagrees away from this topic. It is along the same lines, and you are defending this law because it is a law, which you stated in a previous post..

I can't believe I actually read 16 pages of this crap.

Hey pot smokers, what you are doing is ILLEGAL, whether it's in your home or at work. An employer is a PRIVATE company that can enforce ANY rules they please. If it's in their policy to not hire anyone who's gotten a speeding ticket, guess what, they can do it. If it's against their policy to be late more than 15 minutes, guess what, that person can be fired.

Face it, you idiots have no leg to stand on.

Honestly, you people have absolutely NO argument. You signed an agreement when you decided to work for them, and NOW you're going to question their policies?? If you don't like the rules, don't work for them. It's that god d*mn simple.

thats the first thing that came to my mind. most companies have a paper in the application that you agree to take a drug test at any point and if you refuse your terminated.

I guess some people just don't get it?

ok so i looked over my discount tire policy packet they gave me nothing about drug testing just harrassment and some other stuff. anyone think other wise i havent even started yet but i am just wondering when they will give me one? if they do.......

I think its an invasion of privacy and should not be condoned by any citizen.
If your drug or alcohol addiction is so bad that it affects your workmanship, then you deserve to be punished for not doing your job properly.
While I agree that it is "somewhat" an invasion of privacy if it doesn't affect your work, the fact of the matter is that it's against the company's policy. If they don't like it, they don't have to work there. They really have no right to piss and moan about something they knew about (or at least SHOULD have known about) in advance.

Sure, their addiction may not interfere with their work now, but what about in a few months? The company may lose money training that person/providing health insurance/etc. when that money could have been used on somebody that doesn't have a drug problem. In the long run it's more cost effective to hire a person without a drug problem that will be more likely a long-term employee.

If these idiots don't understand that, then they just need to //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/*******.gif.a649d21efc0d1fd4890a6428166586c1.gif themselves.
