One 15 In A Grand AM = 150.7 @ 40hz!!!!!!!!!

there are tons of meca shows in ohio

Not locally where I am at. They are always db drags. Windows up and mic at the dash. I would have loved to know what I hit with the doors open on the tl. I did 153 with the windows up.

Not everyone wants to do those shows. I would have got spanked most likely at the big shows in Cleveland and I knew that. I live almost 2 hours away and well I wouldnt just waste gas to go there and get spanked. So i stayed local and won most my shows and brought home some cool trophies. So that is all I cared about besides the 20 bucks to get in the show.

typically if its in state .... most guys that get into shows dont just stick to a 50 mile radius. cleveland had the ohio state championships at db drag finals. alot of these sites hosted more than 1 event last year too.

Columbus, OH

Hebron, OH

Fremont, OH

Lucasville, OH

Macedonia, OH

Amherst, OH

Lexington, OH

Washington Court House, OH

Marion, OH

Wooster, OH

Fostoria, OH

Cleveland, OH

just do a search for "iasca car audio" "usaci car audio" "slap car audio"

the official sites will be near the top of the search (use a search engine like msn yahoo or google)

db drags is http://www.termpro.com plus the meca i posted...only other 1 i know of is nspl. you can search that as well

Well it was 150 with the doors open?//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/uhoh.gif.c07307dd22ee7e63e22fc8e9c614d1fd.gif I should have done mecca, but never had any mecca comps in my area. I would have loved to see what I would have done.
Its a 150.7 @ a MECA show //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif

Just a different place to put it... you can get a swing from 0 to 5db going from the kick to the dash, it varies alot. Typically the dash is more picky than the kick, res freq plays a bigger part. You could have gained nothing going to the kick, you might have gained 6db, who knows.

The headrest is what matters, and this setup is definitely up there! I didn't have my stand with me, so we couldn't test it... but that loud at that low of a note sounds awesome.

Do those flared ports i assume are flared on the inside too really make that box loud? i saw a guy round off the inside edges of his slot port and the inside of the box, what makes the box so loud besides that? wat does it have for bracing? I was decidint between a 15L7 and a 15 type R i think ill go with the R i love my 12's now.

theres nothing saying an aeroport is louder than a slot port, or the other way around. Pretty much comes down to what you like to use.

When youre using aeroports, youre not building much more than a simple sealed box and then cutting some holes in it. Not much wood used and its not very time consuming at all. Pretty much comes down to the individual vehicle and what it likes as far as the inside of the box goes.

On top of that, changing tuning as well as the amount of port area youre using can be done in minutes.

Only down side imo, is that its a much smaller amount of overall port area..one 4" is equal to ~12^2"s

We've been using the 4" versions for awhile and like em, got some 6" versions a bit back and like those even more. Even though its the same amount of port area, supposedly each 6" flows 20% more air than 2 4"s..

A slot ports main attribute is that you can use an excessive amount of area to start with and plug accordingly.

They're much more difficult and more time consuming to tinker with though, imo anyway.

Never seen a loss or gain rounding the end of the port and the ports mouth on the TL, looks nicer imo though

dont worry, at this point I've spent more time in home depot than most of the employees //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
