theres nothing saying an aeroport is louder than a slot port, or the other way around. Pretty much comes down to what you like to use. When youre using aeroports, youre not building much more than a simple sealed box and then cutting some holes in it. Not much wood used and its not very time consuming at all. Pretty much comes down to the individual vehicle and what it likes as far as the inside of the box goes. On top of that, changing tuning as well as the amount of port area youre using can be done in minutes. Only down side imo, is that its a much smaller amount of overall port area..one 4" is equal to ~12^2"s We've been using the 4" versions for awhile and like em, got some 6" versions a bit back and like those even more. Even though its the same amount of port area, supposedly each 6" flows 20% more air than 2 4"s.. A slot ports main attribute is that you can use an excessive amount of area to start with and plug accordingly. They're much more difficult and more time consuming to tinker with though, imo anyway. Never seen a loss or gain rounding the end of the port and the ports mouth on the TL, looks nicer imo though
