? on speaker level inputs

I've got a 03 4runner with a factory JBL amplified stereo system. I am adding an aftermarket amp/sub combo. The sub is going in place of the OEM one. Since I'm running the OEM head unit, I'll need to use the speaker level inputs on the amp. Where would be the best place to tap in? The OEM sub a DVC, so I've got two sets of wires leaving the amp. I'd like to tap in here, but I'm not sure about using the already amplified signal. My second option is tapping into the wiring as it enters the amp, but this will be much harder because I'll need to find the right wiring. Any advice? Thanks!

What you should do is tap into the rear speakers and disconnect them. Get yourself a nice 4 chan amp that can go to 3 channel. = to right, left and mono bridged for the sub. and make sure it has the hi level input on it. Then you can hook up the rear speakers and adjust the freq. It would sound better. but then you might want to get a small 2 chan for the fronts so you dont blow them from over adjusting and not noticing them clipping or whatnot.

You could just tap into it, but then you change the impedance load on the deck and might cause issues later with that.

since he is tapping into a factory amplified system with subs, doing this will likely result in no frequencies below 200hz. he is way better off tapping into the factory sub speaker wires going into the sub if he is just using a LOC.

My amp has speaker level inputs, so doesn't this eliminate the need for the LOC? I was thinking you just extend the speaker level inputs and tap into the factory wiring, with no effect on the original system. Should the speaker level inputs (or LOC if needed) be tapped into the sub wiring after the amp? These wires will be unhooked, as I'm pulling the factory sub and mounting the new one it it's place. Thank you for the help.
