old XXX vs. new XXX

Has anyone tested these side by side or atleast owned both. I know the newer xxx likes a bigger box and has a little more motor noise, but aside from that how do they compare.

The old model's design is more realistic for the average car environment and charging system.
Id chose a new XXX over an old one for HT though.

for the car, i have had both and i prefer the old one for the sensitivity and Q advantages, but the new one has a better suspension system, but it aint no 54mm worthy... perhaps ~40, but still better.

for HT, the new one might be good in a REALLY big box ( i mean like really big )

We need a sub with the Arachnid suspension to come out, then we will get a true 54mm+ sub.

I always assumed they recommded the old ones cause they wouldn't cost an arm and a leg.

I own both, and i have not noticed any motor noise on the new one. But the old one is better

go with the MX, it's supposed to be a replacement for the old XXX. It has a pretty low motor force though

I actually have read on more than a few threads that the MX gets the mechanical noises more so than the XXX.

Never heard the new XXX besides on vids, but the old one rocks! Heard a couple setups of those and would love to have me some of that pie.
